Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (QCF)

Sentinel Academy are pleased to offer the Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work as an accredited qualification by HABC. The course will familiarize students with the roles and responsibilities of the Emergency First Aider, including assessing an incident, recognizing signs and symptoms of injury and illness, and assisting a casualty who is suffering from injury and illness. Students will learn and be assessed on their practical ability to deal with casualties who have stopped breathing, are unconscious, are bleeding and suffering from shock.

The minimum contact time for the course is 6 hours. This can be split over a maximum of 4 weeks, with sessions lasting no less than 2



hours. Candidates are assessed by ongoing practical assessment by the Tutor throughout the course. All successful students will be issued with Emergency First Aid at Work Certificate that lasts for a period of 3 years, along with a wallet-sized plastic card detailing their qualifications.


3-Day First Aid at Work

It is a requirement of Health & Safety law that employers should ensure the health and safety and welfare of their employees and the public. Employees must also provide adequate personnel, training and equipment to render first aid to their employees.

This qualification covers the 3-day First Aid at Work course.

All successful students will be issued with a new First Aid at Work Certificate that lasts for a period of 3 years, along with a wallet-sized plastic card detailing their qualifications.
2-Day First Aid at Work Requalification

It is a requirement of Health & Safety law that employers should ensure the health and safety and welfare of their employees and the public. Employers must also provide adequate personnel, training and equipment to render first aid to their employees.
